Christmas Wrap-Up

If you asked Will or Walker wanted they wanted for Christmas the reply was always the same.  Will wanted Zigs and Legos.  Walker wanted drums or an old-time guitar.  Here they are with their wishlist items.

We missed Will and Shannon (yucky stomach virus).

A glimpse at some of our Christmas decorations.

We're Going on a Trip...

in our favorite rocket ship...Zooming through the sky...

A special thanks to Uncle Marty, Aunt Steph & the girls.  They love their new rocket ship!  Hours of play and coloring!

Visit with Santa

Yesterday we stopped and saw Santa.  Walker was a little apprehensive at first but warmed right up.  After Santa ask them what they wanted (Will - Zigs & Legos;  Walker - drums or old-time guitar) and pictures taken, Santa whips out his i-Pad and told the boys he was "updating the list".  He then ask them which list he should put them on.  Of course they both said the Nice List. They thought that was the coolest thing!

You Never Know. . .

who might show up at our house.

I was talking on the phone and turned around to see these two cuties.  I thought they were pretending to be snow skiiers, but I was quickly informed they were Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.  They were watching Star Wars today, so that has prompted our return to the love of all things Star Wars.

The Visit

Here are a few pictures from our Church Christmas play.  We've performed last night and this morning, and we have one more to go, tonight.  Will has the cutest part.  He plays Jake, the main character's brother.  One of his lines from the play is, "We need to be more like Jesus all the time, not just at Christmas."  Walker plays a shepard in the Nativity.  If you look closely you might even see me in the Nativity.

The Countdown is On...

Walker's 4th Birthday Party

We celebrated Walker's 4th Birthday on Sunday with friends and family.

A very special Happy 1st Anniversary to Uncle Nick and Aunt Emily!  We love you guys and are glad you came to celebrate with us.

I took several group pictures but this was the best I could get.  This is the best one of Walker so I went with it even though Alexa is behind a balloon.

From 3 to 4

This little boy went to bed THREE...

and now he's FOUR!!!!

Happy Birthday WALKER!  We LOVE you VERY much!!!

This picture melts my heart!  Mommy's Two Precious Little Boys four years ago today!

Happy Halloween 2011

As you can tell Walker changed his mind Monday morning.  While getting ready to go to Mrs. Karen's, Walker decided he wanted to be a pirate (yes, same as last year).  He said he would be an army guy later that night.  Then when we got home and was getting ready to go Trick-or-Treating he decided he wanted to stay a pirate.

Trick-or-treating with Mama & Papa Holmes

Stopping to see Granny Irvin

And of course we went to Nana & Papa's.  They had honeybuns!  Yum!!! (Will & Walker are not big candy-eaters.)

We ended the night at Granny & Pa's.  Walker was so worried that Alexa would leave before we got there.  What a beautiful Snow Princess and an awfully cute Pirate...

...and a precious, cuddly little Puppy Owen.

Pumpkin Patch 2011

Last Sunday we took the boys to Heavenly Haven Farm.
Fun was had by all!

Playing on the hay stacks

Climbing through the tunnel.

Swinging

Jumping off haystack.

Going on a hayride.  Our friends Kelly, Nick and Nate joined us.

Hiking a trail and playing by the stream.

Picking pumpkins in the pumpkin patch.  This was the first one Walker picked, then when he got back on the wagon he decided he didn't like that one.

The boys with their pumpkins.

Going through the corn maze.  Notice how Will has had his hands in his pocket, for like every picture.

After the pumpkin patch, we headed to church for Family Night that was postponed due to weather on Wednesday.

CAUTION:  SNEAK Peek of Halloween Costumes

Army Guys!  Walker told me that he was in the Lord's Army! (Shannon had asked him).

Walker & a cute little pumpkin, Juliah

Will scooping the goop out of the pumpkin.  The kids were divided into teams, ask Bible questions, and when they got it right (they had help if needed), they ran to the table and carved (with LOTS of adult supervision and help) a part of the pumpkin to see which team finished first.
