Brotherly Love

Isn't this just precious?! Yesterday, I worked on my classroom and had a check-up. Will & Walker had a boys day with their Daddy. After a day of doing farming "stuff" with their Daddy and Pa they were worn out. When Shannon went to check on them, this is what he found. So sweet!

Mini-Vacation

We left on Friday for a mini-vacation. Friday night we had tickets to see the Reds vs. the Brewers. This was mine, as well as the boys, first major league baseball game (I usually stick to t-ball games).

Walker eating a ballpark hotdog. They were yummy, but the nachos were the best!
Will with his souvenoir bat.
Great seats, great weather, and the REDS WON!!!!
Followed by a spectacular fireworks show. Walker fell asleep right before the firework show started. Amazing how he stayed asleep through the show, but as soon as it was over he woke up.

On Saturday we went to the Cincinnati Museum. We started off with Dinosaurs Unearthed.
Here is Walker "cheesing". This is his cheese smile for the camera.
Will with his favorite dinosaur T-Rex.
Then we checked out the Childrens Museum. The boys LOVED this! We ended up staying 6 hours and they didn't want to leave then. The museum is full of different centers that the kids can "play" in. Here are a few pictures in some of their favorite centers, however I think they loved them all, even housekeeping. The names aren't correct, but each center had a main theme. The water center.
The Town Center.

Construction center.
The multi-cultural centers. Will & Walker in the canoe.
The boys favorite center was The Woods. Here is Will, Walker & Shannon in the tree house.
Will & Walker loved the slide in the woods. There is a story about Walker coming halfway down the slide and then screaming at the top of his lungs. We couldn't get him down and he couldn't get back up to the top. I climbed to the top but you had to crawl through a tunnel to get to the slide and I had a dress on. There was a lady there who thought it was her child stuck in the slide, but then she found her son and I knew it was Walker. A complete stranger offered to crawl through the tunnel for me, and as he crawled through Shannon had coaxed Walker down the slide. Needless to say Walker then wanted to slide ten thousand more times and loved every second of it.
On Sunday, Will & Shannon went exploring Mammoth Cave. Walker and I headed to BG for a little shopping while they took the 2 hour tour.

Catfish and Crawldad's

Shannon and Will went fishing yesterday and here are the before and after pictures of the 7 lb. catfish that Will caught (with a little help from Daddy). Will insisted that they clean it and take it to Nana & Papa's for supper.

Here is Will with a little crawldad. He had as much fun playing with the crawldad's as he did fishing. Before
After ~ Delicious!

A Day at Nana & Papa's

We went over to Nana & Papa's today and got to spend a fun day with the family. Steph came down to clean house and we caught the laundry up as Nana is recuperating from a total knee replacement. We took a little time out to enjoy a swim (yes, I'm holding Walker). The kids then got to have a picnic, Shannon fixed delicious porkchops. And of course, we had to have watermelon!

Swimming

On Wednesday we had a playdate at the state park swimming pool. Julie, Kelly, and I have been friends since middle school and our kids are all close in age. What a great way to catch up with friends and enjoy a beautiful day!

Walker taking a little catnap. By the time we got the park he was fast asleep.
Anna and Will Anna was very nice and shared all of her toys. She is about 1 1/2 months older than Walker.
I know I'm biased, but those have to be the two cutest faces ever!
Anna, Nate & Walker
Walker's favorite part was playing with the "faucet" that fills the kiddie pool. Picnic time! L-R Kaitlyn, Cameron, Will, Nick
Nate, Walker, Anna
Notice Walker spotted Anna's cheese puffcorn (which are his absolute favorite) and again, she was very nice to share with him.
Will on his "Spidey board" as he calls it. After lunch we went swimming for a little while longer and then headed home. We had great afternoon naps, as you can imagine. They were worn out!

July 4th

Saturday, the 4th, I got to spend a lazy day with the family. Shannon didn't have to work and Will decided we should go play miniature golf. After that we tried out the new oldies diner on the square, Manners. Then that night we were off to our friends, The O'Dells, for a birthday party and fireworks.
Happy Birthday Hannah!

Happy 4th of July!

Taking a golf cart ride during Granny Stephen's 88th b-day party. L-R Audrey, Maddie, Alexa & Walker
Walker getting ready for the fireworks! He liked them but I think they scared him a little. He hugged me very tightly, but watched the whole show. When I ask him about the fireworks he would say "Loud!" But when I ask him if he liked them, he always shook his head yes. Thanks Joe, Julie & Anna for inviting us to Thunder Over Wilson Town. The show was great!

T-ball

Tonight was Will's last t-ball game. He has had so much fun this year, in the very few games that he has got to play. They've had several games rained out.
