A few pics from the weekend

We stayed all night at Aunt Steph's Friday. Maggie calls Walker "Baby". How sweet! Mollie reading a bedtime story. However I think it was several hours later until they finally went to sleep.

He had to taste test before we baked them.

Fun Afternoon at Papa & Nana's

Everytime any of the grandchildren go to Papa & Nana's the first place they want to go is to the basement where all the toys are. Walker is no exception. He pulled toys out of a basket, one by one, and enjoyed every minute.
Will had to have a ride on the tractor with Papa.
I think he may be musical. Yesterday the drums, today the piano. (That is my piano from when I was a little girl.)

Walker is 9-months old today!

Walker turned 9-months old today. Or as I told Will 3/4 of a year (I teach math, okay...what do you expect?). Here are a few pictures of our day.

Walker having prunes for breakfast. (Yes Aunt Steph, he really does like them!) My two precious miracles!
Walker can hold his own bottle now, which makes him happy. He doesn't have to wait on Mommy to get his cereal mixed up before he can have his bottle. Will water painting a picture for Mrs. Karen.Walker playing the drums. ROCKSTAR!!!!

Sunday Morning

Another crazy week, but here are a few pictures before church this morning. As you can see Walker has the cutest curls! He is on the move now(crawling) and can get to wherever he wants to go. Will has had another exciting week at preschool. I must share a favorite story of mine that occurred this week. On Tuesday night the middle school hosted guest speaker Jeff Shepard (the former UK National Championship basketball player and NCAA Tournament MVP). The entire afternoon I had stressed to Will that he must be a good boy and explained that Jeff Shepard was a former UK Wildcat and that he would be speaking and we must be on our best behavior. It was almost time to go and we had to make a short stop at home before we went. Will was in his carseat and said, "Mom does he still play basketball?" I said well he used to play for the Wildcats. He then said, "Is he still a shepard?" I said, "Well his name is Jeff Shepard." Not giving up he then said (and my favorite), "But does he watch sheep?" How sweet! As you can tell he has been paying close attention in sunday school - shepherds watch sheep!

Will's Day

Okay, it has taken me forever to get these pictures on line. I went back to school on Tuesday and Walker started a new babysitter, so we have been very busy around here. Anyway, the day before school starts is Will's Day (he gets to decide everything we do for the day). He'll have to share these duties with Walker next year, when he can tell us what he wants to do. Will decided for breakfast, of all places, we would eat at Jax's(pretty good though). He invited his Granny and Pa to come along. Then we went to the State Park and played miniature golf (I hit 2 hole-in-ones and still lost to Shannon). We then proceeded to the Marina and had lunch at the floating restaurant. Two of Will's friends, Nick & Nate, joined us. The boys then had fun feeding the ducks and turtles. After that we HAD to have a nap. We visited with Alexa, Seth, and Jennifer @ Joyce and Sovel's house after nap time. The highlight of Will's day, however was going horseback riding. Will is too little to ride by himself so guess who got to ride with him? It was a little scary, especially when the horse started galloping up a hill. Scary for me because I had my baby on there and can't really remember ever riding a horse before. I'm just sad that I now have to start back to school.

Another Fishing Trip

Brian, Kelly, Nick, & Nate invited us to a cookout at Wolf Creek Dam Saturday Night. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and then went trout fishing in the stream. While fishing, we looked across the stream and a deer was standing right in front of us. When it came over to our side, Will wanted his picture taken with it (look real close:). We finished the trip with watermelon (and doritos).

Walker is CRAWLING!!!!

Walker has been trying to crawl for a while. He would pick up a knee then put it back down. Then he'd raise a hand and put it back down. Yesterday he had them working together and moved a little. Today he took off after his little sheep. A little wobbly, but Will better watch out!
