Swim Catch Up Post

We've had a VERY busy summer, and LOVED every bit of it!  Hard to believe school is starting very soon.  Will and Walker were both part of the Rays swim team again this year.  And since they are early birds we opted for the 8:15 am practice M-Th.  They have both improved so much!  Here are a few pictures from random meets.  Saturday(the 27th) was the conference and swim will be finished for a while.  Pics from conference coming soon.

Walker with his RAY on his back.  Now he's ready to swim!
Cousin Alexa also swam this year.  These two are a mess!

Will and Walker both got Star Performer Ribbons at the LWC swim meet.  Great Job Guys!  Mom and Dad are so proud of you both!!!

Summer Catch Up - starting with WKU baseball camp

July 8-11th Will got to participate in the WKU baseball camp.  He had a great time, learned more about baseball, and had fun with his friends.

Walker asked me a million times, "I get to do this next year, right?"  So he relaxed, enjoyed the very hot weather, and learned some baseball from the sidelines.

Will's friends that were also at the camp;  Clay, Weston, Will & Benjamin.  They always want to take a silly picture.

And Will's favorite part of the camp was the last day when they practiced their sliding technique on the slip and slide.

Demarcus Cousins Elite Skills Basketball Camp

Last week (June 26-28) Will had the opportunity to participate in the Demarcus Cousins Basketball Camp at Rocky Hollow.  Walker was too little for the camp but he got in on the pictures, autographs, and played a little basketball.  Here is a link to a news article on the camp.

Q & A with Julius Mays, Demarcus Cousins and Jeff Shepherd.

Picture time with Shepherd, Cousins & Mays

This picture cracks me up.  Julius was in the hallway as we were leaving the first day and Walker ran up to him and said "Give me a high five".  Julius was our all time favorite at the camp!

Playing offense.

Walker got to get in the autograph line.  Here he is with Cousins

These next two pictures are for future reference.  Demarcus' brother, Jaleel, came to camp each day as well.  May be a future star.

We believe this was Cousins limo.

And of course the Moms had to get a picture also.  Julius had the best personality!

It's Officially SUMMER!

We celebrated the official first day of summer by going over to swim with some friends.
We hadn't been in the pool very long when the boys noticed this uninvited guest...it was the biggest frog/toad I've seen...it was huge!

Carson, Walker, Mason & Will swam and swam and swam!  They had a great day!

What's been happening...

With the school year coming to a close (only 4 more days) it has been crazy busy.  So here is a quick catch-up of what's been happening...

Will & Walker got bunnies for Easter from their Granny and Pa.  Thankfully they're both girls.

Signed my baby up for Kindergarten.  He did great on his little test...only missed two colors...which is awesome considering he's color-blind.

Baseball has started up.  We've had several scrimmages and games.  The Bats won their last game 16-8 YAY!  Which was great because they lost the previous 3 games.

Walker and Carson often entertain themselves at the ballgames by playing catch, or playing in the dirt, and occasionally cheering for their big bros.

Walker got his first black eye.  He and Will were playing dodgeball and Will hit him in the face (an illegal move), Walker turned and hit the treadmill.  Of course the cuts were bleeding and he cried a little until I said, "Boy that's gonna be black tomorrow."  He said, "Who cares?  It's just a black eye!"

Waiting to take the field

Walker finally got to play his first game Thursday night.  They've only got to practice once and had to cancel their opening day, and first game all due to rain.

Go Mighty Mets!  I had to miss Walker's first game to chaperone the 8th grade dance, but a good friend text me this adorable picture!

Boys of Summer!
