Fishing Birthday Party

One of Will's friends, Brandon, had a birthday party today with a fishing theme. The boys met at the Fish Hatchery. They ran through the museum looking at all of the cool things.
Here are the boys with the mascot "Squirt" the Skunk

Walker petting Squirt
The boys put together a little fish bowl for later. Then they went Trout fishing behind the hatchery.  Only Blake caught a fish but they all had fun.

After cake and all kind of goodies (gummy worms, Goldfish, etc), the boys got to "catch"  their very own goldfish to take home.
Walker also got a fish and got to join in all the fun.
After the pinata, the boys went and feed the trout at the hatchery.  What a great party!  Fishing, food & fun!

Shannon Hates to Mow

While trying to take a little Saturday nap, Shannon decided to mow the yard.  I heard a very odd noise outside and a few minutes later I heard him turn the water faucet on.  I still didn't think too much about it.  Then Will came running in and said "Mom the lawn mowers on fire!"  This is what I found!  I see a new mower (and Shannon a new pair of shoes) in our future.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Lucky the Leprechaun made another visit to our house this year.  He left the boys green milk!

Oh, How Pinteresting...

Pinterest is one of my major addictions.  The funny part is I don't even have an account...I stalk Stephanie's account. Here are a few of the things I've tried out recently.
Pinterest version found here

And here is my Easter Spring Version

I also saw these on pinterest but couldn't locate the pin, so here is my version.  Square pretzels, vanilla candy melts, and Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Eggs.  Yummy!
And on another note (but I have also saw several versions of these on Pinterest)...
Yesterday (no school on Friday - yay!) the boys and I went to Hobby Lobby.  The best part is we now have one 30 minutes away vs 2 hours.  While walking through the clearance aisle I found this Family Rules sign.  I LOVED it!  After debating about it, and Walker telling me to "get it, get it" (I didn't need much encouragement), I decided that it could be a late birthday gift to myself.  When we got home and hung it up Will was reading each one.  When he got finished reading it, he turned his head sideways and made a funny face and said "I'm not sure I can follow all these rules."  I ask which rule he thought he would have trouble following.  His reply, "That one about being kind."  haha!    Funny since he has a very big heart!

Captain America

Captain America to save the day!  When I got home from school last night, Captain America (aka Walker) was hiding underneath the desk trying to scare me.

Hard to believe it was 75 degrees today when I got out of school.  75 degrees! -  in the month of February, and we haven't missed one day of school for snow!  Of course the first thing the boys wanted to do was play outside.

Here are the boys enjoyig the beautiful weather!
Good form!

I have a feeling this one will golf like his Daddy!
