Parties and Glasses

 Last Saturday we helped two little boys celebrate birthdays.  First we went bowling and helped celebrate Brody's 4th Birthday.  The boys LOVED bowling.

Then we went to celebrate Carson's 5th Birthday.  Carson's brother, Mason  and Will are good friends.  Walker and Carson became friends from watching their big bro's play baseball and will hopefully be in the same K class next year.

The party was at Elite Gymnastics and they had a great time.  They LOVED jumping off the trampoline into the foam pit.

Then on Monday, our day off, we got to go to the eye doctor.

Will has to have glasses.  He told me over the weekend he was having trouble seeing the board in one of his classes.  I was hoping it was just from cousin Macy needing glasses and a friend getting glasses at school, but no such luck.  We went to pick up his glasses yesterday and they were broke before we ever left the office.  Thankfully it was the assistant who broke the side of the frame, and not Will.  



Walker also got his eyes checked for Kindergarten and to make sure his eyes weren't the cause of headaches he has been having.  While there the doctor confirmed that Walker is also color-blind.  Very strange that both brothers are color blind and the doctor said that they gave almost identical answers on the test.

Super Second Grader

Yesterday was Will's second quarter awards ceremony. 

We are very proud of our Super 2nd Grader!

New Year, New Puppy

Meet the newest member of our family, FINN.

 

We finally got to bring our new puppy home on Sunday.  Harley (who used to be our dog, but decided she liked living at my MIL/FIL, who happens to have a beagle kennel, and she secretly thinks she's a beagle) had puppies.  The boys fell in LOVE with the puppies and picked out FINN to bring home.    

 

 

Here's a pic from today.  The boys think they need to "feed" and "train" the pup.  And Walker is hoping to win Harley over and convince her to stay with us.  We'll see how that goes.

The Big Reveal

Christmas came earlier than usual for the boys.  Nana & Papa decided to bring the boys big gift a few days early.  The boys had no idea what it was but had to stay upstairs the whole time it took Papa to put it together. 

 

Sunday night we all stayed all night with Papa & Nana so Santa could make a stop there.

No matter how many seats there are they must always pile up together in one.

This is how the night started with them all in the living room sleeping on an air mattress planning to stay up ALL NIGHT and catch Santa.  They didn't stay here for long.
