Swimming at Nana & Papa's

We went swimming this evening at Nana & Papa's. Papa was baling hay and Shannon was mowing the yard, so we went for a swim.

Show Us Where You Live F-R-I-D-A-Y : Playrooms

PLAYROOMS
Kelly's Korner has been doing Show Us Where You Live Fridays and I've finally decided to participate. We built and moved into our house about one and a half years ago. We finished the basement with a family room, playroom, guest bedroom and my husbands "hunting" room. The stairs divide the family room from the playroom. Please leave us a comment with any ideas to make this space even better, considering we spend tons of time here. Here is a look into the playroom.
Here is a little storage area and my sons' tool bench. The door goes to a closet underneath the steps (which is great for Christmas storage).
Here is a look at the barn that Santa made (with some help from his dad) for the boys this past Christmas. It is the greatest! It keeps all the tractors and trucks up off the floor. To the left is the hunting room and to the right is the guest bedroom.
Here is a look inside. It has shelves that the boys can just open the door and get whatever they want out. It is much better than having to dig through a toy box to find the one tractor they want. The shelves are also on the inside right and left of the doors.
When Will moved up to his big boy bed I decided to put the toddler bed in the basement (until Walker is ready to move out of the crib)...it's great for naps . I'm planning on painting the book shelf red to go along with the barn theme.
I call this the musical area. They both love music.

I hope you've enjoyed the tour. Thanks for stopping by.

It's a GIRL!!!!

Meet the newest addition to our family, Miley! We had her name narrowed to Harley and Miley - Miley won out in the end. As you can imagine Will & Walker are bouncing all over the place with excitement as Miley finally made it home today. We picked her out yesterday at BRAWA - she had surgery this morning and we got to pick her up this afternoon. This is her one and only trip inside the house (not if Will & Walker have anything to say about it). Isn't she just the cutest! Two very proud owners.

T-ball Pictures

Tonight was Will's first t-ball game of the season, even though it is the third official game. The first game was cancelled due to rain, and the second game was when we were in Gatlinburg. Before the game Will ask if it was okay to hit the ball over the trees. Sounds good to me!

This has to be the cutest little fan ever!
I noticed while in the outfield, Will was trying to tell whether him or his little friend was taller. Never mind they were in the middle of a game. They kept this up for quite a while, taking the bill of their hats and putting it over each others. Notice the tip-toes.

Birthday Party in Gatlinburg

We left on Thursday to meet the family in Gatlinburg to celebrate Dad's 60th Birthday! We missed you Uncle Nick. While there we went shopping, went to Ober Gatlinburg, the kids played at a nearby park, ate at some great places, rode the go-carts, and walked downtown Gatlinburg. We all had a great time! Here are some pictures in completely random order.

Here is the gang at one of my favorite restaurants in Gatlinburg, Log Cabin Pancakes. They have the best country ham (and pancakes too).

Happy 60th Papa!

VBS 2009

VBS started last night and the theme is camping (not sure the exact name). Here are Walker & Will moving to another station. Lesson time.
The nights lesson was on Peter and fishing...so during game time the little ones got to fish and carry their "catch" to the other bucket. They had a lot of fun fishing!
Here is the preschool class playing with the parachute.
