Birthday in June

My sisters-in-law and my birthday are all within a month of each other. So for our birthdays my FIL got us a guided striper fishing trip.  Now two things that makes that funny - 1.  I am not a fisher or really any outdoorsy type at all 2.  The boys would have LOVED to got that but they didn't.  I have to admit that I had a great time.  You can see our pics here - go to Customer Pictures - then 05-13.
Our morning started out REALLY early.  We had taken the boys to the fair the night before and didn't get in until late.  Then we had to be at the marina by 4:30 AM.

I can't really read these things but this is supposed to be an awesome school that we found.

My SIL Melinda didn't get to go so Shannon took her place.  He offered to go and film Jennifer and me, but we finished early so he also got to fish. Just want to point out this is the first time I've ever held a fish - it was gross - but I had to have my picture taken.

Bigger and Better Fair

This past week has been fair week.  Here are a few pictures of the boys having fun.  They met up with some friends and rode rides over, and over, and over!

Jayson's face (right behind Walker) in this picture is priceless

Walker's favorite ride- the motorcycles.

Catch A Rainbow

When Shannon found out that Catch A Rainbow was Saturday, all of our plans quickly changed.  They were asking me if I wanted to go and Walker, "Come on Mom, we might catch a rainbow."  At that point I had to explain that they were rainbow trout, not rainbows.  They had SO much fun and came home with all kinds of prizes.  Someone said there was around 1300 children there.

Look at that trout!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Yesterday we surprised Dad with a little birthday lunch when he came home for lunch from work.
Yellow cake with caramel icing from Pie Kitchen in Louisville

An attempt to get a picture of all the kiddos - not so successful.

Waiting for Papa to come home

Ready to eat

Cake time!  All the kiddos helped blow out the candles.  (Ignore the shadow on this picture - I think it came from the mirror on the table)

School's Out for Summer:)

First Day of 1st Grade

Our last day of school was May 9th (unbelievable).  This is the first year I can ever remember not missing ONE SINGLE DAY for snow or illness.  We are loving the fact that we get a long summer.

Will on his last day of school as a 1st grader.
Will's 9-week award ceremony was also the last day.  He was recognized for making  25+ AR points for the 9-weeks, Brilliant Behavior Award, Fantastic First Grader (All S's) and the PE award.  We are so proud of Will.  He had a great year and is all ready for 2nd grade.

Let's Play Ball!

T-ball and Coach Pitch has started and it seems like we are at the ballfield every night.  Little League was recognized at the high school baseball game.  Above is Walker and Noah pausing for a picture.
Mason and Will cheering on their little brothers who are on opposite teams.
SeaDogs are officially 2-3 for the season.  We started off with two tough losses (5-6), followed by a big loss, but the boys are working their way back to the top.
