Show Us Where You Live F-R-I-D-A-Y: Master Bedroom

It's Friday again, and Kelly over at Kelly's Korner (see sidebar - have no idea how to link) is hosting Show Us Where You Live. Here is a peek into our master bedroom. I LOVE my bedroom furniture. We purchased it when we moved into our new house. The bedding on the other hand is about ready to move to the spare bedroom. With dark furniture I need to add some color. As you will also notice I need some suggestions for the bare walls.
View from the door.
Nightstand - My favorite thing here is the picture frame that says "Always kiss me goodnight" with my boys picture. A staple for all parents of toddlers/babies would also be the monitor.
My furniture was purchased at Haverty's with the exception of the chest of drawers. I found a matching piece to my bedroom suit at a Liquidators. As you can see this wall (it's angled) is in major need of something. Please leave suggestions as I am not an interior designer and just don't have the touch. Here is a picture of my boys. It is in a frame from Hobby Lobby that matches the bedroom suit - cherry with walnut inlays. So if I add other pictures on the wall do the frames need to match? Any suggestions?
Another wall that needs something. The door leads to the master bath.
Please leave suggestions and let me know what you think. It's a little drab and needs some color.

Beautiful Lake Cumberland

Will has been wanting to eat at the floating restaurant, so Shannon took us all out to eat last night at the Marina. Here is a look at beautiful Lake Cumberland. The boys waiting for their food to arrive. Notice they don't seem too happy, just very hungry.Feeding the ducks, turtles and fish.

Swimming Lessons: Day 1

Here are a few pictures from Will's swimming lesson today. He had a lot of fun and looks forward to going back tomorrow.

And of course I had to throw in a few pictures of Walker. He desperately wanted to join the water aerobics class that was going on while we were there. The ladies loved him!
He's wearing his "Little Squirt" outfit. Ms. Linda (his babysitter) calls him little squirt so when I found the outfit I had to buy it.

Swimming at Nana & Papa's

We went swimming this evening at Nana & Papa's. Papa was baling hay and Shannon was mowing the yard, so we went for a swim.
Will taking the first plunge. Here are Walker and Nana swimming. Nana, Will & Walker for a group picture.

Show Us Where You Live F-R-I-D-A-Y : Playrooms

PLAYROOMS
Kelly's Korner has been doing Show Us Where You Live Fridays and I've finally decided to participate. We built and moved into our house about one and a half years ago. We finished the basement with a family room, playroom, guest bedroom and my husbands "hunting" room. The stairs divide the family room from the playroom. Please leave us a comment with any ideas to make this space even better, considering we spend tons of time here. Here is a look into the playroom.
Here is a little storage area and my sons' tool bench. The door goes to a closet underneath the steps (which is great for Christmas storage).
Here is a look at the barn that Santa made (with some help from his dad) for the boys this past Christmas. It is the greatest! It keeps all the tractors and trucks up off the floor. To the left is the hunting room and to the right is the guest bedroom.
Here is a look inside. It has shelves that the boys can just open the door and get whatever they want out. It is much better than having to dig through a toy box to find the one tractor they want. The shelves are also on the inside right and left of the doors.
When Will moved up to his big boy bed I decided to put the toddler bed in the basement (until Walker is ready to move out of the crib)...it's great for naps . I'm planning on painting the book shelf red to go along with the barn theme.
I call this the musical area. They both love music.

I hope you've enjoyed the tour. Thanks for stopping by.

It's a GIRL!!!!

Meet the newest addition to our family, Miley! We had her name narrowed to Harley and Miley - Miley won out in the end. As you can imagine Will & Walker are bouncing all over the place with excitement as Miley finally made it home today. We picked her out yesterday at BRAWA - she had surgery this morning and we got to pick her up this afternoon. This is her one and only trip inside the house (not if Will & Walker have anything to say about it). Isn't she just the cutest! Two very proud owners.
