Busy Saturday!

Meeting Papa & Nana on Saturday mornings for breakfast is a family tradition. We've started meeting at a new little restaurant that has the best breakfast (they serve chocolate gravy - yum)!
Nana & Will

Papa & Walker
Then we stopped at Lake Cumberland Outdoor to meet Daddy as he checked in his turkey. A couple of weeks ago, Shannon and Robert placed 2nd place in the turkey challenge and 1st place for the biggest bird. Robert harvested the turkey, and Shannon videoed. Here is Will & Shannon with Shannon's 1st turkey of the year, that he killed this morning. Shannon thinks its important to list the stats (this means nothing to me, but here goes) - the turkey scored 64.40 points, 21.9 pounds, 10 1/2 inch beard, 1 1/8 inch spurs.
Then we took Will to the eye doctor for his kindergarten vision test. He did a great job reading the letters. The doctor said that he was near-sighted (should be far-sighted at this point) so we will have to keep up yearly visits to keep a check on it. Will really likes this picture, he thinks he looks like a robot guy!

Just a Swingin'

Oh how my boys love to play outside. Will LOVES to swing, therefore Walker LOVES to swing.
Will and Walker's newest hobby is playing Star Wars. Now those may appear to be bubble wands, but at our house they are lightsabers!

Egg Hunting - a little late

Last night we had a little get together. The boys were sick last weekend and missed all the egg hunts, so we invited a few friends over for a cookout and to hunt eggs.

Playground Fun!

We decided to take advantage of the pretty weather we had yesterday to go play at the playground.
We made a quick stop for lunch at... Then headed to the playground.
Just hanging out!

Will loved to climb...
Walker loved to slide!

So glad we got to enjoy the pretty weather. It's freezing today!

Lost River Cave

Yesterday we took the boys to Lost River Cave. The boys really enjoyed the boat ride. Here are a few pics from the day.

On the way to BG, Walker needed a little power nap! Before the tour, we made a stop for a late breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Biscuit and gravy are the boys all-time favorite!

While we were waiting for our tour, we took a little walk along the trails. Shannon decided to wait at the tour stop. When we came back he said he was waiting to hear our scream. One of the tour guides said to stay near the center of the trail because they had seen lots of snakes. I am SO glad we didn't see any.
Life jacket? Check! Sunglasses in the dark cave? Check! Handsome smile? Check! Ready to go!Walker and Shannon on the boat

Easter Morning

Normally this post would picture two very handsome little boys dressed in their Easter best...however this year, our house was hit by that mean ol' nasty stomach virus... So in place of those cute little boys I offer you two very cute little boys who are sick...
Will was so close to making it to the Easter egg hunt (see previous post). It was about an hour or so until it started and Papa and Nana came over to hide some eggs so Walker would get to egg hunt. Will had just woke up from his nap and was complaining with his belly hurting (that was a sure sign, but I am a mom in denial). I was getting his clothes and he walked into the living room and threw up everywhere. Now not one, but two are sick. Probably a half an hour later, Shannon was sick as well.
I'm holding strong for the moment, you never know. I've promised the boys we will have an egg hunt/cookout as soon as everyone is feeling better.
We hope you all are having a great Easter!
