I want to ride on a fire truck!!!!

Fire Truck! by Ivan Ulz is one of Walker's favorite songs/books.  They sing it quite frequently at the Little Learning Center.  My goal is to get Walker on video singing it because it is hilarious to hear him it with his cute little country-as-they-come accent.  "Fire truck, Fire truck, I wanna ride on a fire truck, sleep in a fire station...."  Anyways....today was the St. Jude Trike-a-thon at the LLC.  The theme this year was medical related (drs, lab techs, etc).  Walker wanted to be a fireman and decorate his bicycle like a firetruck (surprise!).  We went with the emergency response approach and just look at how adorable he was!

Will prepping Walker this morning.  Will has been in the Trike-a-thon for the past two years, so Walker was excited that it was his turn.

How sweet!  Daddy did a great job making a tricycle into a fire truck!

Isn't he the cutest little fireman you've ever seen?!

Nana went and took lots of pictures for us.  I was so sad that I had to miss it this year.  Here is Walker leading the way, with Alexa not far behind.

Crash!  Everyone was okay...those turns are really tricky!
Walker wearing his medal.  We've gathered from what he said that the medal was for the best decorated tricycle.  At least that's what Walker said, "the prettiest".

The Boys of Fall

Will's first youth league flag football game was tonight and the boys did great!  Although we didn't keep score, I believe our boys scored 3 times compared to the other teams 1 touchdown.  Yay!

Visit to Nana & Papa's

This is the sight of the boys before they leave Papa & Nana's house everytime.  Just as we get ready to leave Nana announces that the fish need to be fed, and I have two overly enthusiastic volunteers.  It always starts out as both boys having WAY too much food, which I'm sure the fish enjoy.  Then the boys have to touch the fish, and it always ends with one of them trying to catch the fish (which I'm sure the fish do not enjoy).  Poor things!  I can guess which one of my boys will be the one to end up inside the pond.  I can't believe one of them hasn't yet.

Late Weekend Update

We met my MIL, SIL, and niece Alexa for dinner at The Cove Friday night before the football game.  These three cuties definantly kept us entertained.  If you ask Walker where he wants to eat, he usually says "The Cove!"  Truth is he LOVES, and I mean LOVES their rolls.  That's usually all I can get him to eat, maybe a little macaroni on the side.  While we were waiting he kept asking Alexa if he could have a little bite of her roll (after he had ate his two).  She gave him a bite.  As we were leaving Walker had two bites of roll left, one in each hand.  Alexa ask him if she could have a bite and he immediately crammed BOTH bites into his mouth.  He then started crying hysterically because he hadn't shared his roll with Alexa.  Those two are as close as brother and sister.
Shannon's anchor on the "Walk of Fame" in the football stadium.  The Lakers started off the season with a win.  Hope it stays that way.

On Sunday afternoon Will & Walker were invited to Charli's pool party.  Put Walker's lifejacket on and he is a little fish (and those are not his goggles~someone at the party layed them down and he decided to wear them).  I somehow missed pictures of the birthday girl.
Will had a blast.  They both came home and went straight to bed.

Friday Nap

Even Kindergarteners need naps!  Will missed his first day of school this week (can't believe we've made it this long) with strep throat.  He got to go back to school today.  But this afternoon after picking him up he was very grumpy so I told him to go lay down.  When I went to check on him he was fast asleep.
